Visva-Bharati University is a public central university and an Institution of National Importance located in Santiniketan, West Bengal, India. It was founded by Rabindranath Tagore who called it Visva-Bharati, which means the communion of the world with India. Until independence, it was a college.
Applications are invited from the eligible Indian Nationals for recruitment of Three (03) Junior Research Fellows (JRF) in a DBT sponsored project entitled ‘Assessment of endocrine disruption in fish reproduction’ at the Department of Zoology, Visva-Bharati, Santiniketan.
Qualification
M.Sc. in Zoology or any branch Of Life Sciences OR Post-Graduate Degree in Professional Course (M.F .Sc, M.Tech, M. V. sc) with minimum 55% marks. Candidates who have qualified CSIR-UGC NET (JRF/LS)/GATE and/or any other National level examinations (vide DST guideline 0M No. SWS9/Z-08/2018 dated January 30, 2019) will be given preference. Research experience in the relevant field is desirable.
Project Tenure
The tenure of the project is for 3 years. The above post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The candidate shall not claim any regular position on the basis of the strength of this appointment. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
Salary
The remuneration for JRF is Rs. 31,000/- + HRA (as per University rules).
Age Limit
Age should not be more than 35 years (relaxable upto 5 years for Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Other Backward Classes/Differently Abled/ Women candidates as per GOI norms).
