KUWAIT CITY, Aug 23: The Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Kuwait has stopped issuing visas to perform Omrah or the minor pilgrimage as the period stipulated by Saudi authorities for Omrah has come to an end, reports Al-Seyassah daily. The embassy, however, is issuing all kinds of visit visas.
“We issued more than 275,000 Omrah visas in the last eight months for the residents of Kuwait and Iraq,” said Saudi Ambassador in Kuwait Dr Abdulaziz Al-Fayez.
He added that the embassy is keen on processing visa documents as soon as possible to facilitate the travel of applicants and called on all those desiring to acquire visit and transit visas to submit their applications at the offices accredited by the embassy.
